rear end

8.8's out of a 2 wheel drive Explorer. Very cheap in most yards. I got mine with 3.73's, a factory posi, and disc brakes for $150. Fords run with a little driveshaft offset. The axles aren't equal length. It's common to shorten the longer axle tube to match the other side and use two of the short axles. Fits under a S10 nicely. Much stronger than the stock 7.5's. Less money than new gears/Tru Trac for a smaller axle GM 7.5 rear. Cal Tracs stop the hop. Your tires determine if your power will hook up. Good luck with your project.
