Just ordered wheels/tires for the rear and a wideband for the truck. I guess its a good way to spend $1200. Should have tires Tuesday and wheels by the end of the week. Ill update pics as I get them.

I stopped by the scales last night and the truck weighed 3520 without me and with a spare tire laying in the bed. That is with the N2O stuff installed but not wired up. This truck is a fat pig. With me in it 3700lbs. I couldn't get a picture because of the lighting.

I'm with you man. The only thing I can think is I did no weight reduction. I removed the spare, jack and AC stuff and that's it. BUT added an iron 5.3, bigger drive shaft, 8.8 rear, added N2O, went to 17" wheels with 275's, dual 3" exhaust, and a few other small things. I could loose a few pounds to help too.

That weight is ridiculous! My 1st gen weighed 3232 on scales at the track so I'd assume they are accurate, but that's with Weld drag lights and me in the drivers seat. I've done no weight reduction and that's when it still had A/C.

1st is lighter. 2nd gens have a slightly beefier frame and a few more safety provisions that add weight. Wish i had a square body myself. Look better and lighter.
And they are becoming classics which have easier inspections.love your truck BTY...
