I had just a little bit of time today and decided to open up the 6.0 I bought. The guy I bought it from said it "lost oil pressure". I'm guessing after checking this thing out that it was the sender only.

Swapped the pushrods for 7.300's and the lifter is louder now. Way louder, even though I have the correct preload on the lifter. At this point I need to pull the head to find out what is really going on. It may be turned in the cup or not pumping up (not likely since I can measure preload) or it might be something else. The only way to pull the heads on my S10 is to pull the motor. SOOOOOOOO It looks like this pile may never run. But if I or when I pull the motor I will be going back in with the 6.0.

If I can't figure out this lifter issue, the motor is coming out and all my hard work will be for nothing. I'm a little deflated right now. lol I did take a pic of her together in her resting spot till the operation is over.

don't sweat it...at this point you should be able to have the engine sitting on a stand in 2 hrs by yourself. slide the bed back 3 or 4 inches, unbolt the cab and lift up the front end of the cab. all of the room in the world at that point and it only consists of about 10 bolts.

My buddy is coming over today to bleed the ABS in the truck so I will have brakes and I can check that off the list. Then I will see if he has any ideas on fixing this issue without pulling the motor but at this point I am thinking pulling the motor is the way to go.

I think I have the motor stuff figured out. I forgot to post that before the birth of my best buddy. I think I have the brakes figured out but I just now have to have time to go out and work on it. Once I fix these brakes it should be time to get it out and tune it.

I'm sure you can find some time between changing diapers to finish up the brakes

I plan on finding some time but it is a lot harder than one might imagine. Plus I enjoy being with my little man right now too.

Brakes are FIXED! I put the wheels and tires back on and fired it up. I took it down the road and back (1/4 mile) just over an idle. It was nice to get it out of the driveway. That is the farthest it has ever gone on it's own since the swap. Tuning coming soon and I hope to have a video to prove it soon.
