Bought a 4L60E with a fresh rebuild for $200. Unfortunately the Long block that I bought, has a mostly junk rotating assembly. This means that I will be putting this project on hold for a little bit until I talk my self in to doing a 408.

Here's pics of the trans:

Thanks guys. It will take some time but I want to do it right. The reward will out weigh all the time spent on this project I'm sure.

Default trans

I thought the S-10 trannys had a smaller bellhousing than other trannys.
so it would fit the smaller firewall opening.

I don't know about smaller but I do know that the S10 bell housing is different.

I think I would have to keep the stock rims and put some sticky tires on back of it. You could mess some people up in "Sleeper Mode".

Tranny housing is different but only slightly, only difference is a bolt hole on the very top on the LS motor/trans, which if you use a stock s10 trans with LSx, you just wont put in a bolt.

Decided to do a Iron 408, just need to wait for my tax return. I tore the long block all the way down to just the block last weekend. I need some warmer weather to get somethings cleaned up on the heads, trans, and other random parts.

Heres pics of the weather out side:
