Default picked up my Dime!!!!!

Just picked up a 2000 Reg cab Stepside 2.2L I-4/M5...

Drove it from Ft Worth to Silsbee yesterday on 3/4 tank of gas thru the hills in East TX. And got about 24mpg, pretty much hammering on it in 3rd and 4th a good portion of the way. Lol... I'm guessing it has 4.10 in it because it sings going down the hwy.

Its scratched up but straight and I am ordering carpet for the same time I order carpet for my FS.

I can see where this thing can use a tune and a couple mods, its a dog....

All in all, I'm happy with it, the lowering parts should be here by next week.

Sweet man I throw a little turbo on that 4 banger. Back in the day when I had my 91 dime (which I turboed the 2.8 v-6 in, lol) there was a couple of guys who had turboed those 2.2 non-intercooled, 10 psi all day long with nothing more then an FMU to add fuel. Could be done for about a grand or less I think,

Probably run this one fairly stock and then put my cammed 5.3 in it when the new motor gets finished for the big truck. Turbo'ing the 4cyl would be cool though. I know there's quite a few out there.

It's easy and makes them so much fun to drive

cool deal Ben. we both have the same truck, lol...
mine has 3.73's and it sings too on the hwy.
for what i paid for mine it's by far the best money i've ever spent on something.
you can't kill them either

My S10 sings down the highway too.(4.10's) That's why I pulled the cover a few days ago just to have a look. The gear oil was super clean. I guess these trucks are just noisy. I've got 3.73's in my Monte Carlo SS and they're quiet as can be. I've been tossing the idea of a turbo myself but like Ben I need to stay focused on my fullsize or it'll never get done.
