Default opinions on over leaf air bag setup

I am after what people think about using an over leaf air bag setup. in stead of using the 3-4 link systems. The reason why i am looking in to doing it this way is because i live in the U.K I can get hold of a complete air management system over here but cant find a rear link system here, but if i order one from the U.S the cost of shipping is ridiculos and i can justify it.

Do any of you use this system ??? hope you guys can help me out

Thanks Robb

Lol, don't you will have axle wrap problems like no tomorrow...

Your best bet would be to find a race shop and have it done. I also say don't bag it at this point, bags are a constant project. You will find yourself chasing small problems that will end up costing you if you can't do the work yourself.

If you have access to a competant welder your can make a 2 link with a panhard bar cheap. It won't tear up the road the best but for normal driving they work fine.

Also you can use leaf spring bushings compressed into DOM if you don't have access to universal type bushings. If you have off road shops you can get them easily.

Or if you want to do a bit of re-engineering you can steal a triangulated 4-link from a wrecked car, and just fab up a few brackets. Look at GM G bodies for the axle and links.

Mono leaf set ups ride terrible. But people have been using that kind of set up for many years. Wheal hop is a problem with them and the leaf spring could eventually break. It can be hard to get a mono leaf to lay frame also. It is cheap and not to difficult to make work tho.

mono leafs might work the best if you do not want an all out bag set if you do a forward triangulated 4 link you have to relocate the gas tank if you do a reverse triangulated 4 link wheelhop is going to be a mfer so if you do not want to chop the truck up either go with mono leaf or 2 link with panhard bar mono leaf will be way easier if its a do it your self job and one last thing if its your dd or you do not constantly like to work on your truck dont do it they have a lot of upkeep
