Default Manual transmissions!

I love my 5-speed Blazer, except for limited upgrade options...

I plan to either supercharge my 4.3 or do an LS based V8 swap...

The NV3500 is only rated for 300 ft/lbs of torque.

I have a 4x4.

I offroad and tow heavy loads with my Blazer.

Any suggestions on a stronger manual transmission that'll fit?

I know some people are going to suggest the T56, but that's not really an option... It has a GVWR of like 3800lbs, and my Blazer as it sits is about 4400lbs... Which means no offroading or towing.

That, and I got an email from Tremec saying the T56 isn't recommended for towing

I'd prefer a 6 speed... But that's not likely to happen...

So... Help? lol

The NV3500 is plenty strong. Stronger than rated for. Especially in a light vehicle like a blazer. I've abused the hell out of 2.

What's the most it can safely take?

Eventually, I'll probably supercharge the V8, if I'm not happy with its performance...

Nothing smaller than a 5.3 for me, if I do a V8 swap! lol

I know bone stock, a 5.3 and NV3500 will work just fine... But stock isn't much fun! lol

I had a 1995 with a 383 and 170k miles on it and it held.
Also, a 2005 4.8 supercharged that went 12.58 1/4 and put down 445rwhp 489tq.

You give me and my Blazer hope! lol

The only other real options I could find need a LOT of shoe-horning to make them fit... more accurately, a new transmission tunnel, lol.
