Thats one clean S10. Dont do LS6 cam do at least a tsp 220 it will sound better and run better.

Yea i originally had a 03 LS6 cam that I've had quite a while planned on using it but sold it. I'm not looking to build a radical built motor just something to poke around in. Lol

As the tranny goes. I got my trans. shop to locate me a 4l60 case, put it back stock with vette servo and trailblazer 6 cyl. converter.

You're right about that but I'm just learning as I go. This is first motor I've ever put together and by far the most mechanic work I've ever done but its taking the help of good friends. Btw I'm just outta college kid which means not a lot of money. Haha

Don't laugh but when I loaded it to go to the body shop to have firewall and fender wells painted I put the wheels on the wrong side. I felt like such a dumbass lol

The H3 pan was still a lot close than I liked so I took it on myself to put a small notch in it.

I accidentally may have knocked a hole in the heater box when removing the motor after fitting it up so I cut out that section and notched it also. Makes for good access and removal of the valve cover in the future.

Cut a piece of sheet metal, shaped it to fit and fiberglass the small holes.

I couldn't afford to go with a nice radiator made to fit. I'm using a 84 vette radiator which required some small trimming of the core support.

Here you can see a oval shaped hole on the core support for the A/C lines

Found exactly what I was looking for on Craigslist. Explorer 8.8 with factory lsd 4.10 and disc brakes.
Got so excited I picked this up for $250! Opened it up, everything ok. Had axles and rotors drilled to 5 on 4.75. Put it back together then decide I want it narrowed so its currently tore down again but here it is.

I will be using the same wheels on rear(originally thought about going wider) but from my. measurements I need 5.5" inches taken out to be exact same as my factory 7.5.

Got the bed off to make it easy to change fuel pump. Gonna it hit with some frame black before I go any further.

While off for Christmas i managed to get the motor together and mock up the accessories

One pulley in the kit was wrong. I needed a smooth pulley instead of grooved but simple fix.

Also had to have a bolt head machined down on the bracket. The p/s pulley was all up on it(why its off in the pic)
