How much of a ride quality difference would there be if I put 1/2 ton springs under my Blazer?

I'm pretty sure my rear axle has more weight over it than an unloaded 1/2 ton, and they ride nice...

I'm just thinking about when I tow things... And as part of a project I'll be running a full size 1/2 ton rear axle in the future anyway...
