Question Which Hood: Carb'd LS S10

I do not enjoy running wires in tight spots so I plan to go with a carb on the Performer RPM manifold on a 4.8L. I will start a project thread when I start the install. So, I plan to add a cowl induction hood and seal the carb/air cleaner assy to it. Have any of you done the carb route on your LS10? I no longer have to smog it so its wide open on mods. Turbos and a FAST fuel injection setup are down the road.

So what height cowl hood have you used? I was thinking the 3.5" should be enough but if the 2.5" would work its a few more bucks left in my pocket .

Its a 91 and the county its registered in doesn't smog check. I have never had to in 6 plus years.
