8.8 swap is super easy for the most part as it’s what I did on my white truck: only real issue would be the bolt pattern for the wheels but I could always get the axles redrilled for 5x4.75, one of my buddies has one he said he’d sell me for $150 with 3.73 lsd, and disc brakes on it. I was really wanting to install my own lsd though lol.

also the s10 should be finally getting some tint this weekend by the guy who did my Jeep. Excited about that because it’s long overdue. I’d really love to find a 4” cowl hood for it too. Have a hard time spending like 5-600 bucks on one knowing if I were to ever try to resell the hood broke asses around here wouldn’t pay more then $200.

Screw it throw a budget lsd in the 7.5 and if she blows she blows! Good learning experience on how to install a lsd and why not to use a 7.5.

Idk about the cowl on the nbs s10 I love it on the squarebody! I know the feeling about not wanting to drop big money on something you will never make it back with. My HD front end swap was a huge waste of money.

Yeah that’s kinda what I’m thinking. Not like a S10 rear end is hard to find.

what i would really like to do is the gmc jimmy envoy front end on it like this truck but those bumpers are about impossible to find. Looks almost like a baby lightning

It does look like a mini lightning which is a good thing!

I used to own a 2001 lighting, traded a older 745li bmw for it straight across. It was a cool truck but consistently got 12.5 mpg regardless of if you were cruising on the freeway or railing on it in town.

I just took the S10 to Portland to help my brother in law pickup a washer and dryer and got 21.8 mpg round trip calculated cruising at about 70mph or so. Pretty happy with that for how good the truck sounds.

Pretty much. It only had like 47k miles on it when i got it and it still had some stupid issues. The starter power wire broke off right at the connector. If I ever had a lightning again I would do a lsa 6.0l in it lol.

Finally got rid of my Honda Insight. Traded it for this 2007 gsxr 600. The bike is in super good shape and feels like it’s one of those really healthy motors. On the first ride I was surprised by the amount of torque it has and I have never said that about a 600 before lol. Plus I’m super happy to have one more parking spot freed up!

Spent a couple hours trying to get my tachometer to work. Wired in this universal tach signal adapter using power, ground and ignition signal from one of the coil packs. Tried everything the instructions said but the adapter wasn’t getting any sort of input signal from the coil pack ‘wiring. Super frustrating, I spent like $55 on it. Tried it on both the stock bravada cluster as well as an aftermarket tachometer and neither worked. Not even the slightest amount of movement in either. I’ve never tried so hard to get a tach to work in anything in my life. Tempted to pick up another dbc pcm and flash my tune on it to see if that would work.
