Default Basics on a 5.3 in a S10 Swap

Hey guys, after doing my lq9 swap in my sierra, i have a perfect low miles 5.3 dbc cammed and nicely built 4l60e sitting around...

Thinking ill buy an s10' probably around 2000 2002 and tossing my old drivetrain in, is it a pretty straight forward swap? Mounts, harness and off to the races? Obvious its more than that, but u get my drift.

Can i use the truck intake and front brackets?

Thabks guys

It's not cheap, trust me. Well not if you do it right.

Here is some info on these swaps:

it is pretty easy...

swap oil pan, new mounts, fbody manifolds, modify fuel system, harness and a few other small things and you are good to go.

Its not that costly if you are capable of doing 99% of it yourself. I sold off the old 70K mile 4.3l/4L60e and came in just under a grand after it was sold and my swap was done right.

A lot of people can't weld or fabricate or modify their harness so it can get costly to pay others to do those things

you can do it fairly easy actually and not that expensive.

We used the currentperformance oil pan, shorty headers. 2.8 poly mounts, trans adapt motor mounts. corvette radiator in forward position with 2 electric fans. We made the wiring harness ourselves.

We did the lq4 in the 01 blazer. About to do a similar "secret" ls setup in a 1997 s10
