'96 S10

What could I do to get a little more power from my '96 S10. It's the 2.2L, I am thinking about droping in the 4.3L. About how much would this cost labor wise, I'd do it myself but I don't have a lift or anything to do that ammount of work on the truck. Also is there any website that I could buy parts from because I'm sorta in the middle of nowhere as far as auto parts stores are concerned. Thanks in advance for all my questions.

Plan for at least a grand for labor alone if you pay someone to swap in a 4.3. There's almost as much work involved as doin a SBC swap. You may as well just throw in a 350 if you're going to swap something.
As far a your 2.2 is concerned, there's not a strong aftermarket for that motor. You could probably find a chip for it, but beyond that I'd say your best bet would be some juice.

There is a company that has a Turbo setup for the 2.2L Apparently they've got some pretty decent numbers out of it (for a 4cyl that is) I'll see if I can dig up the link. I believe there is also an s/c avail. for it, a guy I met in Edmonton had one on his Xtreme. I'll try to find some info on that as well.

As far as the turbo I mentioned, I have the link at home. I'll try to remember to post the link tonight when I get home.
Here's the link: http://www.turbos-10.com/... which I just checked and doesnt seem to be working at the moment. It could just be down for now, but I havent been there in probably at least 6 months, so not sure.
