Guys, I just got home from Billy's service. I spoke to his father for a few minutes, and he is amazed at he showing of love and support for them from the members of this forum, and he was blown away by the number of us whose lives Billy has touched. I feel like it has helped them tremendously in this tragic time.

Sorry I wasn't able to catch you tonight Tom. Some other time, I guess.

I got the same impression though from both his mother and his father. I heard each of them "brag" in a way to other friends/family members about how many people Billy was able to help via this website. His dad at one point said, "Even a guy in Saskatchewan!".

You could tell they were both extremely grateful for the amount of support everyone on the site has shown.

I know someone (I think Scott) asked to see the flowers sent on our behalf:

Of course our friend Billy could have used the support, however the family definitely needs it as well and I’m sure the overwhelming amount of support shown and offered by the members of PT has to be somewhat comforting. Nothing can bring their lost loved one back, but just knowing how much respect we all had for him has to help.

I know it has touched me at least.

Dan ~ Sorry I didn't get to meet you tonight. I was overwhelmed with all the people that were there.

I know someone mentioned having his truck in the percession. Under different circumstances we would have done it, but...... I will leave it at that.

The fundraiser cruise is an awesome idea, and depending on when and where, (and if you will allow a classic car instead of a truck) I would love to be part of it.

Thank you everyone for all the love and support you are showing our family. You all don't know how much that means to all of us!

Wow this is so sad. He used to always reply to my threads and PMs. Let's all learn from this. This is never the answer, especially if you have kids. There is always someone out there willing to help or talk to you if you are having a rough time.
