so I recently bought an engine and this tool got me out of a pinch. I usually use old crank bolts in the crank while on the engine stand to rotate the engine without the UD pulley on. I started with a used crank bolt and started threading it in. maybe 5 threads I couldn't turn it by hand anymore. another bolt and same problem.

I started working the used crank bolt back and forth trying to work the garbage out of the crank. I put a little too much torque into it trying to dig in. I backed the bolt out and noticed that I was lost a few threads on the crank bolt. ****.

pulled out the bolt from tyler's pulley install kit and the impact. with a little liquid wrench, an impact and a little time I was able to get the lost threads from the bolt out, whatever trash was in the crank out and could easily thread it in and out of the crank with 2 fingers. I would say the tool paid for itself! great product tyler.

looking at beaus post above....I think there may have been trash in the threads that put the bolt in a bind when he tried to back it out. I don't think the threads were damaged on the engine that I had. in the future I plan to run this tool in and out a few times just to make absolutely sure the threads are clean.

I've only used mine a half dozen times or so. works great when I need it!
