Glad you two are on good terms again.

I'm surprised when Maguson had it that they didn't notice the loose intake manifold bolts. After reading the rest of the thread it appears to be happening to a few other guys' Radix as well.

I have a Whipple so I can't comment about the Radix install but I had more than my fair share of problems since day one with the charger and fighting detonation. I finally got it running right and no detonation at 9 lbs now. Things tend to work themselves out eventually. I still think Whipple has poor customer service compared to what I've read about Magnuson.

Yes, this surprised me as well. They looked at the blower about a month after the install and said it looked good. I guess they didn't catch it. But that's fine, I should have it back soon, and we'll see if a good install solves the issues I've been having. I'm crossing my fingers.

Thumbs up

Naked AV and BlownChevy both seem to be Top Drawer to me. Nice Guys!

Naked ...hope that you get your problems worked out soon.

I was thinking of going STS but maybe I will have to give the Radix another thought.

For sure, you guys both seem to be cool, and Blowchevy has always been a cool guy on the boards I've seen him on. Glad you guys got it sorted out, and I hope you get your truck performing where it should be NakedAV

Ya know, I'm glad this has all been worked out. I met Naked (though he was somewhat shy about the screenname rofl) at one of the gettogethers last year and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, then all this **** hit the fan and I couldnt make heads nor tails of the whole thing. Brian too although I havnt met him (since he flaked on that same gettogether ;p ) seems like hes always here to lend a helping hand.

Glad you guys are on good terms now.

UPDATE:

moregrip and I strapped the blower back on today and uploaded the latest tune. The truck appears to have more power off the line now than it did before, and a lot of the hesitation and bucking seems to be gone. It pulls hard right up until there is vibration from the driveshaft, which I suspect is from a pinion angle that is off, probably as a result of my 2/3.5 drop. Bottom line, it is running more smoothly than before, and it appears that many (if not all) of the problems I was having were a result of a haphazard Radix installation.

Magnuson has taken care of me throughout this whole affair. Their good treatment of me continued throughout this last evolution. Once they received the blower two weeks ago, they tested it to ensure it was making proper boost, they cleaned it from top to bottom, and they even provided some install materials that they were not required to include. All of this for an extremely reasonable sum. I am very pleased with how I've been treated both by Magnuson, and by BlownChevy.

I still have some things to take care of before I will test the truck again (axle shims, new tires, upgraded intercooler, perhaps a tranny swap, etc.), but I will certainly report back to the group my results as soon as I know them.

Great news Kevin. I'm sure the few bucks it cost you is well worth it to have the peace of mind that the compressor is fine, clean, and with some new install materials. At least you can now know for certain it was your installers who screwed up.

I bought new gaskets, hose, and some misc parts for my install just so I would know that everything is right from the beginning.

Wow. Go away for a while and look what goes on.

Glad to hear you found the problems, and even more so you started this thread. Took a lot of guts and courage.

All of my dealings with Brian have been first class.
