Hey guys im not a ford guy, chevrolet here. But I was wondering what these harley editions are all about. Can someone give me a rundown on motor specs tranny rear end gears etc... they loook sweet from the outside but what are they all about? Thanks!!

 

They have the same motor as the lightning I believe. 2WD, not sure of what else. Thinking of racing one?

 

thought about it but now i dunno, but they look cool, a dude in town has one and its slick, but never knew the internals and that, i thought it had one of fords basic motors, not a lightning motor.

 

99 and 00 were supercab with n/a 5.4 no motor goodies, 01 was supercrew but n/a. 02/03 had the lightning motor except for a bigger upper pulley to put out 2lbs less boost

they are overboosted lighting motors as you call them but with alot more pulley and supercrew with all leather and power everything same rear as all other 5.4 and a lil more tranny for the motor power output but supercabs are not supercharged just and over expensive ext cab with leather and and badging.

 

How bout underboosted lightning motors in 02/03 since they make 6psi and a L makes 8psi. N/A means naturally aspirated( no supercharger) ) dumbass in 99-01

 

I think you need to learn a little bit more about Ford truck before you make statements like the one above.

I believe Roush makes a package, or at least they do for the 05's. I don't think there's any difference btwn the two years
