And just for cosmetic reasons, I prefer the 01/02's. They had the updated stuff on the outside but didn't sit like a lifted 4x4 in the back, lol.
yea the 01 on had the clear and red tail lights and a 3rd brake light above the back window.

They all had one of those, just the '01-later was LED. I hated the taillights on the later trucks, it just screamed "rice" to me. But I'm an old fart.

Same heads from '99-sometime in '03, only change then was for the plug bosses.

I personally think the trucks got markedly better in '01. My '00 was a frustrating heap. I wouldn't buy a '99-'00 unless I was planning on building something interesting out of it. Plenty of people have had great service from the '99-'00 trucks, but mine was the worst vehicle I've ever owned and probably the last new Ford I'll ever buy.

depends on what the plans for it are.
i have a '00 that i purchased a lil over a year ago with 31k miles on it. it popped a plug last month just under 60k.

other than a couple broken/cracked for light lenses, it's the only problem i've had with the truck.

the intercooler recall has never been done to my knowledge.
