I am guessing it is an adjustable wrench he had in the door before the tranny exploded.

Yeah. Why wasn't there a scatter sheild of some sort on it? By looking at that setup from the vid/pics, it's got to be running some quick times with an awesome 60ft. So why wouldn't your track make put on an ultra-bell housing or a scattershield/blanket or something SFI approved? Whom ever was in the driver's seat is lucky they still have thier feet attached.

The owner of the vehicle had the trans blanket in the trailer instead of on the trans where it should have been and he took responsibility for that mistake. The lucky part is not the driver, its the select few people that could have been in the passenger seat. Lucky day for sure.

somehow it all gets blamed on GM, my bet is the trans was not properly setup for the vehicle. gm tends to underrate their vehicles power #s so im sure they wouldnt slap 1200HP on the trans and not have good reason. money cant buy brains!

The owner must have been heartbroken...I am and it's not even my vehicle. Those SRT8 are sweet rides.
