That almost sounds like you got a bad or wrong head gasket or something.

yeah i had a problem with intermittent compression before and i know the headgasket is right

How could a headgasket cause excess crankcase pressure?

Thats because i dont think its possible. If anything it would vent off pressure (not blow by) during the power stroke. Methinks headgaskets have little affect on crankcase pressure.

Your right! I really don't know what I was thinking. I must've had a brain fart.



Did you find a short block?? iamkeniff a member on here has an LQ4 engine almost complete for $450 plus shipping. if your interested. I was gonna buy it but now I'm just gonna go ahead and put my heads on and then start saving for when my tranny blows.

If you have a HG leak it will pressurized the coolant or it will seep into the cylinder and you will find that your oil is nice and milky.
