for example... the cam going in mine is a 223/225 duration with .564/.571 lift on a 114 LSA.... thats a pretty sizeable cam in a 5.3 I guess.

as mentioned the 01 z-06 cam would be a good choice with stock converter.

What motor is in your truck. You ets are high for your mods. Where are you running it? Are you spinning on the line? My truck ran 9.8 w/ a weld in magnaflo, k&n, and diablo tuner. I would look @ other mods than internal at this point. Gut your cats, you have the tuning to turn off the rear o2s.
My 2 cents.

All my runs have been at 2600 ft, with the temp running in the high 90's low 100's. I also have to drive 45 miles one way to get to the track. For the track I'm running I stay within a lenght of most 5.0 mustangs. As far as spilling I seem to be launching pretty well. Its in the big end where I seem to be giving up. As far as gutting the cats, I have to pass the sniffer from time to time, but i think some dumps for the track might be on the way. I've been about even with single cab hemi's, the only trucks that are faster are some crazy modded diesels.

Oh one more thing, Stock tune to my custom was an improvement of .2 seconds in the 1/8th, most of which coming in the first 60ft.

Ive got the z06 cam in my ecsb and went from a 15.3 to 14.7 with elec. fans and cam in the 1/4. In the 1/8 I dont think youll see much improvement being the cam pulls hard up top
