Default z06 cam questions...

I did a search and yielded a million results for just threads that said cam so i figure i'll ask here since its just a quick question...

what kind of sound could i expect out of the z06 cam? i see you can find them relatively cheap on here..

also would i get any sort of power gains out of it if i just keep the stock converter? its going in my show truck which i wont be racing.. just a cruiser

No lope, should work great in a 4.8/5.3 with stock converter. Nice gains NA and even better mild FI.

01 = 204/211 .525/.525 116lsa
02-04 = 204/218 .551/.547 117.5lsa

The specs might seem small but the LSA and valve events make for the cams to be laggy in a truck compared to something that is correct

Last edited by Jessica; Nov 7, 2008 at 06:57 PM. Reason: Quoted Exhaust Centerline instead of LSA

They might be real but they're definitely not the source of the brain material.

Let's get our numbers right.
01 204/211 .525 lift 116.5 LSA
02-04 204/218, .551"/.547", 117.5 LSA
