Thanks for the information. I'd really appreciate the pushrod length when you get the information. Yes, I'm running on stock rods and pistons. I just bought a set of 317 heads for dirt cheap(with only 40k miles on them), and I'm sending them down to have .030-.035" milled off. I'm trying to get to 10:1 compression. Then I'm going to get it dyno tuned.

You'll want to buy either 8.1 liter truck injectors for your motor, or the 8.1 liter marine injectors. They plug right in on the LQ4. You'll have to have your truck tuned obviously to run the new injectors though. The truck injectors will support a cam, heads, headers, and basic bolt on stuff. If you plan on going to a turbo or supercharger in the future, you'll want to upgrade to the marine 8.1 liter injectors plus a higher flowing fuel pump.

That's me^ boosted with 4:56's and a 30" tire

But I would go 5:13's imo. As stated it will make you money feel well spent and your drivetrain will thank you big time

Sorry about getting back to you so late but ran the stock length push rods the 7.400 and no valve spring bottom out on my .030 milled 317 heads so .035 should be fine as well.

Okay can't seem to find any good info on the btr stage 3 cam but with the fact of me running 40×13.50's and the cam specs being 218/224 .553/.553 113+3 what stall would be beneficial for this being my DD??

On the gear selection, i run 513s with 37s. Around town and pulling my trailer trailer they work awesome but when on the highway at 75 its at about 3k in overdrive with a 4l80e. So with your 40s the 513s would probably be a perfect ratio. Use this calculator, put in all your info and it will tell you the rpm/speed/gear etc. Its pretty good...

seems like a converter behind 40" tires will generate a ton of heat. I would stick to a stocker myself.

I'm actually going to use a pi 2600 triple disk, i have 37s and 513 gears. Currently now i don't have any heat problems even towing, it helps to have a big cooler with a fan.

The stock converter is 2600 anyhow lol... so unless it ends up looser you should not notice anything as far as change goes with stall speed.

Exactly, i wanted it to be like stock but be refreshed since it has a decent amount of miles on it. Plus with doing a new trans i wasn't using a stock converter.
