Wiesco pistons arrow facing the wrong way?
I was going to install the pistons from the 408 rotating assembly I got from Texas speed then I noticed when I put the piston in the bore arrow to face the front of motor the two valve holes or dents or what ever they are called that are carved into the piston for valve clerence well they are on the other side closer to the exhaust side when the arrow is pointing to front? I am confused shouldn't they be closer to intake manifold??? If I did that then the arrow will point to rear of the motor.. Do you think I'm missing something here?

Wow so ts knew about this and didnt check to see if others are same that sux. I just hope no one gets anymore of these.
so should I install them upside down arrows pointing to rear of motor wouldn't that make the exhaust and intake valve on Opposit sides

Your just going to have to look at the underside of the head ans make sure the valve cuts are correct. Just put one piston in the hole and hold the head over the block. It was damn confusing at first when I was putting my short block together. I'm pretty sure the fwd sign was upside down and pointed in the wrong direction.

The intake valve is always going to be on the left. And the cuts will be on the top half of the piston. So half of your pistons will have the arrow pointing towards the intake valve, and other half towards the exhaust valve. But both should be towards the front of the motor.
