Sounds like I have a lifter that is leaking down once warmed up after driving. This is what it sounded like after 30min of driving, took about 20min before it started, and took about 5min to get as loud as it is in the video. Just had cam swap done. Everything in the heads are new except valves and rocker arms, cam and lifters are also new. Lifters were even inspected but still make this noise. The shop doing everything is ordering new lifters tomorrow.

that definitely sounds like a failed lifter
what is that howling / chirping noise at the beginning of the video?
you should make a longer clip, move around the engine bay a bit and even increase the rpm's a touch. cause in this clip by the time everything quiets down and you can focus on the ticking...its over

Yea my phone doesn't pick up audio the greatest. The sound you hear at the beginning is my alternator whistling.

Did your mechanic have the pickup tube off when this work was completed?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVWR...e_gdata_player I had a similar issue. It was the wrong o ring on the oil tube

My thoughts exactly. #7 and #5 lifters are the first ones to receive oil and won't pump up properly with air mixed in. I'd get a small flat tipped bar, slide it between the valve stem and rocker tip of both #5 and #7 cylinders and pry up.

If you're sucking air thru the o ring on the pickup tube, # 5 and 7 will bleed off rapidly when applying pressure compAred to the others. Another thing to note, oil pressure doesn't drop as much as you'd think when your o ring isn't sealed.

It may save you from pulling the heads only to find your lifters are not at fault.

I had fairly low pressure. Especially when rpms went up the pressure would drop right off to about 20psi

They got the heads off on Thursday and found a collapsed lifter. Ordered new lifters and should be rocking by Wednesday.
