Stock 317 heads are good... if your wanting to step up to some ported heads, aftermarket to make it run better... Most truck guys that run N/A are in the 220/220 224/224 is big... there are a few people getting away with decent cams and stock stall converters...

Give Richard a call if you want heads at WCCH------> he can help ya figure out whats goin on and what will work best for ya.
Also a CC and a DD i'd stay at a 220/220 no bigger than a 224/224.
Go with something like a moderate stall like a Yank TT3000 to keep it daily driver friendly.
Also full bolts on will make a world of differance. I'd also run some 4.10 gears with a truck that heavy and get a nice aftermarket unit installed in there as well cause a G80 won't last you long.

Vinci 045 "The trucker"

That would be nice for a daily cam. I would suggest that and a Trailblazer stall on ebay, along with the usual push rods and springs/retainers, and a dyno tune. I would suggest, also, longtube headers if you're going with a cam to get the most out of it with some type of straight-through exhaust (magnaflow, borla, hooker aerochamber, etc.).
