What lifters and rockers for 5.3?
#11
What are you doing with your truck? The 1.8s are a decent band aid when you want more lift and a little more duration. Most cam manufacturers now have taken advantage of the newer technology with aggressive ramp rates. As stated, aftermarket cams are not generally good candidates for a 1.8 ratio. That being said, I am running Comp 1.85 adjustable rockers on my 5.7. I'm using a GM .500 lift LS1 Corvette cam. Very mild in comparison. I was looking for a nice truck cam upgrade with good lift and short duration for my propane set up. I use my truck for truck stuff....and some long haul vacationing occasionally pulling a small boat . MPGs and low end torque are my goals.
