do you have to install new lifters when you do a cam? and something with a kinda stock idle. want good power throughout the whole rpm range. and right now i have nothing at all done to the motor.

i've got a stock 5.3 , shift kit, 4.11 gears, volant air box, and dual exhaust. with a vette servo in the mail. gona do a tune soon, but figured it'd be best to wait till after the cam for the tune.

 

all you need to change is the push rods and valve springs.. its a roller cam, no need to change the lifters

I'm running a 216/222 111+4 (Comp XE Lobes) Cam can be installed (w/springs) in a day's time if you are handy with tools. Very straightforward install..
