I finally made up my mind and I'm sticking with the 317 heads. I'm using the $1000 that I would otherwise spend on the heads for install and fuel pump upgrade.

local machine shop is doing the assembly and I'm still undecided on install. I just want it to be done right the first time.

I just $1000 bucks from selling a car and now I'm considering heads again. There is a post on LS1tech of a guy selling new stage 3 ls6 heads with 1.8 rockers for $1100 shipped. They are 64cc chambers and I want to know how much power I can gain by going to these heads. Also can the 1.8 rockers be used with 7.4 lengh pushrods?

will the 1.8 rockers be fine? Are these heads overkill if I am keeping the truck intake?

I would bet you would see a 25-30rwhp gain over stock if not more, the 1.8s will give your cam more lift so they wouldnt hurt depends on what brand they are as to whether or not I would use them. If you cant find someone to install it shoot me a PM.

The heads he is talking about are most likely the Patroit ones forsale. Stage 3 is a pretty radical prot job. Look at patroit stage 2 or Richard with WCCH has a good CNC program for abotu that price.
