Default What else could break?

I was changing my oil Monday morning. Putting in Mobil one for the first time in the new motor. And this little wire clip comes out with the drain plug. WTF?

I spent the whole day thinking, "what the hell coul it be?". About the time I figured it out when I was driving home from work, I watched my fuel pressure slowly drop to zero sitting at a light. I had noticed a drop in fuel pressure at WOT Saturday. Damn Walbro 255 went out. Once I pushed it to a parking lot I remembered that the 190LPH bosster pump from the procharger kit was still mounted on the frame rail. I hooked the lines back up and robbed a fuse out of the stereo to supply power to the booster pump. I was up and running again. This time with no loss of pressure at WOT.

Oh yeah so this is what I think the clip is. What do you think?

Thats pretty much what it looks like.
I was wondering if it might have been hanging on the exhaust and the magnet just picked it up when I pulled it out.

Anyway I'm gonna start pulling rocker arms in hopes I can look down and find the broken lifter. If not I'll have to start pulling heads till I find it.

that kinda looks like it..place it on top of the lifter and see if its the same thinkness..kinda looks like the lifter clip is thicker..what kinda of lifters did you stick in it?

It looks to be the same thickness. The shape is a little off but it's probably a little bent too. They're LS7 lifters.

Got a bore scope? ... maybe pull the pushrods and check the lifters that way...
