Default What Cam do I have. how to read it.

Ok so this might seem strange to most. but Im not sure how to read this cam card I have. I had this cam spec'd about a year and a half ago. I had it done for a build I was going to do. but some things came up and I never got around to doing the build. I have sense changed my plans and am thinking of getting rid of it but not knowing what I have isn't going to help sell it. so i was wondering if somebody would be able to help me find out what cam I have.

I had this cam spec'd for a turbo 370 build I was going to do. I wasn't looking for a sleeper cam. I wanted a little bit a lope. a bit choppy but not to much so this is what was spec'd for me.

Heres some pictures of what card I got with it.

218/218 .570/.570 112LSA +2 Advance Advertised lift with 1.7 rockers

In a 6.0 it is not going to lope, it will idle very smooth. It would be barely noticeable at idle, only to a trained ear.

I am not up to speed on what lobes Isky uses as I believe they have their own lobe, but based on those .006 specs it appears to be a less aggressive lobe so it should make for a quiet valvetrain. At a low enough idle speed it may be slightly noticeable depending on the exhaust after the turbo.

Ok thanks you. Ill be sending it down the road. Its not going to work for the new build. so would it be good for a stock 6.0 or 370? Im going 400+ ci so I know it wont work for that. So thats the reasoning for wanting to move it.

Ya, I would think it should work very well. Allot of guys are making good power on smaller cams with turbo's. I personally don't feel that you need a huge cam to make good power, there are allot of smaller cams with FI making great power across the board.

Ok thank you. I know big choppy cams aren't good for the best for boost. but Im kind of wanting that sounds healthy. planning a 408 still planning on running the turbo with it.

That is a great turbo cam, but not for a 400+ motor. This is perfect for stock cube LS motors 4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0 when used with a turbo. I would say go bigger for sure. Lots of 5.3 guys having success with the isk triple 112 and 118 but same goes for speed inc TU1 cams which are 225/225 .581/.581 LSA 113 it all depends on what you want. Also idle lope will depend greatly on the tune as well.

For a 400ish I would suggest the speed inc TU2 cam 236/236

Its funny you say this because right now I have the TU2 cam in my shopping cart on speedinc just wanted to make sure it will work first.
