I have a timing gear and front cover that I will sale. They are new. I installed them and changed my mind. I'm gonna try out this VVT stuff.

cake walk . . .

4x cam gear, 3 bolt - 12586481
LS2 timing cover
reuse the cam sensor - same part number

reuse the stock lifters . . . . they're already the stock replacements

i changed my cam gear , sproket , timing chain and front cover as well as a cam bolt.. got'em of the LS3 i also changed the tensioner cause it was broken when i opened up the front cover apperantly its common ive seen and heard of alot breaking down.. but never figured out why.. replaced it with the LS2 style wedge tensioner..

if anyone has the vvt cover left over from their swap, let me know. i need to buy one to replace the salt corroded one i have. i would like it to be complete with the sensors.

Just a question, why are so many folks removing their VVT equipement?
It makes sense to remove it if the user is going to install a high stall converter as the high stall allows the negine up into the torque/power. But for those who will not swap out TC's, I would think that keeping the VVT would help to retain what little low rpm torque is available, while allowing for good high rpm power from the same cam. There are good gains from using VVT cams.
