Default Vette heads on a 5.3?

Would vet heads fit on my 5.3? If they would would they give a noticeable power increase?

They will fit.
241 heads are not worth it at all.
If you are referring to the 243 heads, the gains you get from increased flow are offset by the loss in compression.
But you can mill them to yield smaller combustion chambers to get the compression back up.

Stock, they aren't worth the trouble.

The GMT900 trucks have 243/799 heads from the Z06 vettes but they have flat-top pistons whereas you have dished.

If the 243's were actually off of a ZO6 vette the valves would be a considerable upgrade, if you were looking to do a cam upgrade aswell. The 243's off the trucks and GTO's do not have the desireable valve. They flow just as well, just a with heavy two piece valves.
