Mine taps/makes noise mainly at 1300-1500rpm low shifts, right before the shift. Somebody told me it was from my tq management and the ecu is pulling timing before the shift. Is this true?

I put the 10w 40 Castrol in it yesterday and it did quiet it down a bit. Can still hear it but not near as pronounced.

Mine's pretty loud at 1500 with light throttle, shift or not. Sounds like a Cummins diesel almost.

That is a true fact, but from what you were detailing it sounds pretty normal.
