Default Update on .050 milled heads

So laste week i mention to you guys that i hade a set of heads that were milled .050 , on an lq4 with a 222/228 on a 567 lift , and a few members mentiond that i could run into clearence issues, such as intake manifold not clearing and power steering bracket no lining up and so on.
Well I'am more then happy to let you guys know that i did NOT have any issues with anything everything fit like a glove i must say i did use the stock head gasket , the only thing i did change was the pushrods i replaced the 7.4 with a smaller 7.350 ,
Just wanted to let you guys know kuz i was sh*tt*ng briks through out the whole prosses!
thank for every ones 2cent!

i've seen .055 mill heads and no problem with intake alligment . . the issue is PVC with a high lift cam..

I think you mean early opening intake valves.By the time any cam reaches max lift the piston is a good distance from the valves.

Small chambered heads, larger valves with large lift numbers, pistons at zero deck or slightly out of the hole, dome design etc can all lead to decrease ptv clearance. And another thing people need to watch is running very close ptv clearance because at higher rpms, it will decrease...

That being said, cams up to about .590 or .600 lift with stock bottoms ends usually dont have clearnce problems. Better safe than sorry!!!

Yeah,All that could be considered too...Except the large valve coupled with large lift.I dont know how you guys are getting large lift involved. Please explain maybe I jus dont understand?Far as I know an early opening intake valve is the main contributer to clearence problems.I mean thats what is checked when cam installs are done correctly right? Its my understanding .080-.100 intake ptv clearence is the norm.
