So it's an evil acronym. I just received an 02 NC8 Sierra stepside. I have many skills, and anything ECU related isn't one of them.

Future build plans are 2x Turbos on something LS, but for now I have a smog engine, so i'm not dumping a lot of cash into this one.

It's a solid long block I'm just upgrading the intake/exhaust/ignition nothing crazy like a new ECU. Will that jack up the California Lord and master computer code? I live in the US not CA. 😁

There's nothing you can do to improve the stock ignition. A different air filter won't require a retune. We don't replace ECUs, we retune them or pay someone to do it. Depending on what you mean by exhaust, headers might require a retune. Nothing adjusted in the tune for such light modifications will show up when the EPA raids your compound.

Getting a tune you’ll be fine. That’s the best bang for your buck drivability wise.
Headers will require a tune and in my opinion are worth it.

Stock coils are good for 1000+ hp so your wasting money on those unless they are tired.
