Tracking down a squeak/Squeal
Alright ever since my heads and cam swap i have been chasing what sounds like a bad belt squeak, so i took off the belt and it was still there, i pulled the balancer and it was still there. it seems to be about half the speed of the motor, like if the motor is turning 2k than the squeal is around 900-1k rpms.
it's RPM adjusted but when i first start the truck in the morning it's there BAD and then once it warms up for about 20 minutes it goes away until i come to a set speed for awhile like on the freeway it creeps back to were i can hear it over the radio.
I hope it's not what i think it is

not what you want to hear, but I have heard spun cam bearings make that noise....and eliminating the complete belt system narrows it down to internal engine. have you noticed any erratic oil pressure lately??
