It's just sick, the LS2 just loves to rev and is eager to get n go

it's being choked a little by the fact that i have stock LS1 heads and a Small cam, but that will be remedied in the next few weeks

It's a MTI x1 cam. They're a local shop in Houston

His 5.3 was breaking/melting the oiler rings, there were parts in the bottom. He was spraying a 150 shot on a stock bottom end . . - very often.

It'll last if he doesn't spray this one too !

Do you think it would be worth it to build a H/C 5.3 or should I go to a 6.0 and build it like your doing?

100% honestly i think that there is alot of very good performing 5.3L's out there that perform close to the 6.0 and get better gas mileage. if i had found another 5.3L i would have put it in, but i stumbled on this motor and figured i'd try it since i'd venture to say i'm one of less than a handful of LS2 GenIII's out there

If your 5.3L is running well than go for the H/C route and don't look back, i don't see the point in pulling a motor that runs well.

I 'll start my own thread so I don't hijack yours.
