Are there any good kits to convert 2 bolt main to 4 bolt?

My goal is to have about 375-400rwhp, all motor. Who knows what it will be after the charger install.
I have a 383 stroker on a 2 bolt. I have AFR heads, average cam, HSR system....etc making about 440fwhp and 470ft lbs. As long as you don't race it every day it will be fine however, if this is a drag engine 4bolt would be better and if you plan to charge it....4 bolt would be better as well. Just make sure you get good rods in it!!

Well there you have it. Forced Induction = 4 bolt... those pesky future plans always seem to be an important part of the decision equation taking place now. FWIW, I have seen 2 bolt main blocks pushed with forced induction... magging showed fatal cracking of the main webs...

450fwhp with a 150shot on a 2 bolt main with a girdle. All is well and if anything is going to fail it sure as hell won't be a main. Rings, pistons and rods will definatley go first.

Think about this, you have and old block, that you're going to spend $500 having it bored, honed, decked etc. Another couple hundred to get it converted to a 4 bolt. You might as well get an aftermarket block that's ready to go with the potential for more cubes.

The newer LS engines have 6 bolt mains. It's not that the crank will actually fall out, it's that if the crank is able to move even slightly you can have spun bearings and additional stress on the rest of the rotating assembly. Nothing is written in stone it's just fairly cheap insurance on an expensive engine build. P.S. Go to Summitracing.com enter mil-11150
