Default Talk to me about valve lapping.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some experience/advice here. I'm building a LQ4 turbo engine for my AWD Silverado.

Right now I'm playing with the heads. I'm going to be doing my first port and polish. I'm also upgrading the valve springs and upgrading to trunion rocker arms.

I'm wondering if anyone laps their valves? Or is that a lost art nowadays? I've seen a few videos and read a few write ups. I get the basic gist of what I'd have to do.

How do I know if it's necessary? Is it worth doing?

What are your guys'll thoughts and opinions?
