Default Strength of a LQ9 block bored .06" over?

I have that LQ9 block bored 60 over with forged pistons and LS2 rotating assembly.

My buddy is starting to get 'gun shy' after reading about over heating issues and other problems of weak cylinder walls.

What have you guys seen???

IMO, if randy was going to run it, its fine... as long as theres satisfactory wall left (there is, I almost bought the same motor from him) Id run it and never think twice man...

he is just worried..
he built a 355 from a bare block and it spun a main bearing.
just one of them things.. I want him to run it cause that's a lot of cubes haha..

ill try to talk him into it...

anybody else?
I don't know much about this specific stuff.. I just threw a stock LQ4 in mine and boosted it along with nitrous..

the builder said he didn't sonic test the block but he said somebody did..
I can measure the walls between the cylinders if that's what you mean?

My 01 6.0L block is over .300'' thick on the thrust sides and .180'' on the sides of the cyl.

read some info on when the block is bored that far, there might be weak castings that deep into the metal.

Since the engine builder didnt seem like he wanted to talk too much, i think he is goin to sell it and go with a stock LQ4.
