Stock L33 Cam and Heads?

Stock L33 Cam and Heads?
I'm trying to get some pulling power from my '05 ECSB. I've sucessfully got this from the Gen I 350's and want to try to compare the cam and heads on my 5.3L to something I'm familiar with.
Do the L33 5.3L alumnimum heads flow better or worse than the old 350 Iron L33 Vortec's? Also, how much cam lift will the heads and stock springs handle before milling of the guides and spring replacement is necessary.
Thanks,
Mike

Unless he changed the content of his post, he's not asking about the interchangeability (or similarity) to his older engine.
He wants to know how to get more from his Gen 3 stuff and how it flows compared to the older heads.

Tarheelz is right. I'm not thinking of bolting on some good old iron, I'm just using the old SBC stuff as my baseline for the newer stuff since I'm familiar with the good old 350's.
If my 5.3L were an old 350 I'd slap on a set of iron Vortecs, a comp cams 252 High Energy cam, and have gobs of torque right where its needed. I dont know what I have now with the 5.3L so I dont know what I need to do to get the power down where it can be used.
I figure if the long block is a sound set up (hopefully) I can get by with having the computer tweeked. If its not I'll change heads, cam, entire motor, etc. as required.
