Default Spinning up a LQ9

How high have you guys spun a stock bottom -ended LQ4 or LQ9? I will have a strong enough valve train to handle high rpm, but I don't know what the bottom end can take. I plan on using Katech rod bolts, and hopefully I can spin it to 7000 rpms more than once. Anyone spin this high or go higher?

Wouldnt go over 7000 with it thats about the limit of the stock crank from what I have rread and seen on a few threads on tech. The rod bolts helps alot. Im going to spin my 408 up to bout 6800 and thats it. I want it to last unlike the the 5.3

Stock bottom end LQ9 shifted at 6800, 10 passes with 175 shot, 4 passes with 250 shot, still going strong

Your **** is living on borrowed time by far. I bet when you pull the motor when it blows and look at the pistons they are all melted on top. I have seen what a 150 shot can do to a stock piston I can imagine what a 250 does to it. Alot of keeping a motor together has to do with tuning and obviously yours is perfect.

Btw i spun my 168,000 mile 5.3 up to 6700 with now problem. Fried the rings with the nitrous though I believe but still havent pulled the lotor to know for sure yet.
