I ran a 236/244 .620 .617 on a 110 in my LQ4 with .243's milled .020" and .040" gaskets. I popped it, but it cleared fine. Never had the driveability I was after. But the setup was a little miss matched...

What drivability issues did it have? What stall were you running? That thing must have sounded like a beast on a 110.

curious as to why you are looking at huge lift numbers? what will this be going in and what are you going to be doing with it? the"biggest" isnt always best. not trying to start a pissing mach here, but a little more info on your setup would help

After some experience, I'd start with a nice set of heads and then run a cam grind to complement them. Only if I was going to go n/a, of course. And looking back, I wouldn't go n/a.

It was on a Maf tune, and I never did get the surging to completely go away. I used to have an idle clip in my sig. It was pretty good till ambient air temps got over 90 degrees. That when it was the worst. I was running a stock truck intake, TB, induction, and air box. I think it could have been better if I had upgraded the intake before I broke it. 3600 Yank,

that was probably cutting it pretty close. i have a LS2 with TFS 225 heads and had to cut .090 off of the intake side to clear a 236/242 110+4. .090 got me bare minimum clearance.

Yeah but an LS2 would have flat tops right? Mine where the dished. Plus lift has nothing to do really with clearing, it's all in the valve timing event's. I would imagine the +4 had some to do with your clearance problem. Mine had no advance ground in.
