I was just looking at the head/cam deals they have on TSP and for $1,800 it didn't look like a bad deal, but my boy broz (bpowell688) has some 3.73 gears that i would rather run than the 4.10's. I think the gears in it now are 2.73? 2.7 something.

you can dip into the 12s without the heads.... never been too much of a fan of aftermarket heads on 5.3s unless you're going with a aftermarket intake setup as well.... just make sure you have a 3200-3600 convertor, PI, Fuddle, Yank, they'll do a good job

Feel a little dumb now .....I went out last night and looked at the GU6 in the glovebox so it is 3.42's. Guess I'll be getting some 918's for my heads since alot of people say these stock heads will get me where I want to be. Saves me some money .

You don't want the G80, it's not intended for performance oriented trucks and is prone to breakage...most of us say that the "G" is for "Grenade" lol. Stick with a Detroit TruTrac or Eaton Posi unit

I was looking around earlier and saw that the LS6 may work just as good as the 918's with a TR220 112LSA. Any different opinions?

I was thinking they would but the thread I was looking at had so many different opinions on it and the LS6's would save me at least $100 or so

With lift that low I'd certainly go with the LS6 springs. With that setup and a 26" tall slick you should be good for 12's without a problem.
