Default search broken....down to two

i have tried searching but it isnt working. here is what i have. 05 rcsb that is getting an lq4 dropped in. The truck has the uprgraded injectors and fuel system already. will also have the e-bay LTs and ORY, have a 3000 stall and will be mail order-tuned. now the dilema is which cam kit to go with. TSP and TR both have cam kits for the same price, and i have narrowed it down to the tr230 or the tsp 228r on a 110. will there even be a noticable diference in power? truck will be a DD, just want it to run good and be able hang with the newer mustangs/camaros on the street. limited to no dragstrip time. which would you do or something totally different? thanks.

both cams might be a little much for the 3000 stall. you would want at least a 3400. Might want to look for something in the 224 duration. Just my .02

The 230 is a reverse split also I believe...you will need more than 3000 verter for either cam. I wouldnt run less than 3600, and I would probably have a cam speced for your setup. It doesn;t cost any more to do a custom cam.

Agreed, more stall for either, even with the 6.0L! Have you considered the 224R on a tighter LSA??

Yea, 224R 110LSA would be a bit more ideal than either of the two cams you mentioned in the original post, I think!

I totally agree with Matt. For a daily driver type truck you'll be much happier with the 224R. I'd do it on a 112LSA though and go with a 3000 stall. More stall would be nice, but with the 224R and good tuning you can get by with the 3000 stall. The 224R with good tuning will have very good response even down low making it very strong even with a 3000 stall.
