Just using a good quality oil is fine..(01 5.3 ecsb) I use Rotella T 15/40 in my truck 70K w/ no problem and use MMO in the tank on from time to time , but have been thinking about the seafoam deal and the vacume line.

Hurricanes; dont evacuate, stay home and regulate..

I did a whole can through my intake last year and a whole can in my oil about a week and one half ago. My oil was about a quart low when I did it which keeps you from having too much volume pumping through your system.
I had soo much condensation in my system from winter it was sick. My oil now looks great and no more milky white gunk.
I let my truck idle in the driveay for about 15 minutes and then drove it at low speed for about 10 minutes not getting over 2500rpm. Just did that to be safe, not too much load on all your internals.
After doing the Sea Foam, I did a oil change and drove about 50 miles and changed it again. I just used cheapo dino oil for the one day clean out drive.
Running it through your intake will clean everting up nice but your plugs will need to be changed or cleaned, it will smoke like holy hell too!!

the can only recommends 1/3 of a can through the booster line but a 1/2 should be fine, let yoru engine suck it through alternating seafoam then air until however much you want is gone then turn it off. it says to let it sit for 5 minutes but i usually sit it for an hour, start it up, (make sure the windows are up) and be prepared for nasty phone calls. after it smokes a while go drive it around kinda hard through all rpm's to clean out the system

When sucking it up in the booster line and running it, can the crap out of the combustion chambers clog up the cats?
