Yella terra ultra lights in 1.8 ratio in conjunction with a 5/8" pushrod have shown 15rwhp gains consistantly. With the stiffer pushrod you get better valvetrain stability and the increased ratio gains more lift. Harland sharp also makes a nice set of aluminum roller rockers as does crane.

I like the idea that those comp are made of chromoly instead of aluminum. Honestly that would give me piece of mind knowing there would probably be less chance of breakage. I've seen many threads on broken aluminum roller rockers. Not so much on PT.net but on other sites in SBCs and BBCs.

Yeah i would hesitate with aluminum just because the springs produce a lot of pressure on those little parts. Maybe i can put that money into titanium retainers or something more worth while. I just looked at summit as an option because they were so cheap. I believe the chromoly Comp have a 1.75 but i dont know how much that .05 would change anything.

Is there anything that may benefit the engine other than the cam, springs, and rods?

I'm going with a tvs 1900 SC, Pacesetter LT headers, metal core high flow cats, true dual exhaust, h pipe and flowmaster 10s. Also keep in mind that my rig is a lifted off road truck trather than a track runner.

You should consider a 4L80E conversion. I'd add a nice torque converter to your list of upgrades as well. Should be pretty stout if you do it right!

As do I...but I just have stock ratio Harland Sharp nonadjustable drop-ins. They've been holding strong for over 6 or 7 years or so, but, if I could ever work up the dough, I'd really like the adjustable Crane golds for my LQ9...maybe 1.8's paired with the Vinci Stangbanger

I have one sitting in the garage waiting to go in once i find a TC and get the motivation to put it in while i decide if i want to switch out the first 2 gears to match the 60e ratios or not; and doing a shift kit. i also have a 4wd so i have to decide if i want to keep my transfer case or go to a 3/4ton and deal with the drive shaft issue.

I have a gm 14b rear that i'm working on getting 5.13 or 4.88s in sometime soon then i'll decide on a TC but i'm thinking a Yank 3000 or 2500 for my rig. Its hard to justify spending 1k on a TC though..

I do all my mods in the winter when its in the garage so i have a little bit of time to collect all the parts i still need..

Yes, the converter is worth it. Night & day improvements.

By the sounds of it, you'll need to mod the drivelines no matter what, especially since you're going to the 14b rear.
