Welcome to pt.net. Have you had it retuned?

Did you count how many turns it took to go from zero lash to being fully torqued down? Was that the only thing that you changed?

Not retuned yet, but shouldn't change THAT much.
All I did was torque them down in correct sequence to 22ft lbs.
Yes, this is all I changed.

I think you should check how many turns it takes to reach the desired torque specs. Shoot for 1 1/2 turns. The turns before achieving the desired torque amounts tells you what the preload is. You might have to get different pushrods to be in the right area.

Ok. I will try that again. The only reason i even went with these, is because i got a killer deal on them and the stocks were rattling and coming apart. It's been a big pain in the *** though.
btw it doesn't just idle bad, it runs shitty too.

Pull the valve covers and make sure that rockers aren't contacting the head back on the pushrod side, as well as the valve cover. I've seen pics of guys with the pushrod cup snapped right off from not having enough clearance between the rocker and the head, and the rocker binding on the head. If all is well, make sure that they're all tight, and that all of the valves are closing all of the way.
