lmfao no

Nowadays it seems people don’t share cam cards until you buy the cam but not even sharing any specs at all is flat dumb. I understand not sharing your personal cam specs if you are competition but then again you wouldn’t sell that cam either now would you? I bet you wouldn’t just call up TXSpeed or whomever and say “Yeah uh here’s my current build I need a cam and uh just like do whatever don’t send me the specs” or you wouldn’t call up Vinci and say “Hey so put your bingo machine on full spin and just pull a cam out the hat don’t tell me what it is.”

For $389 you can get a Cam Motion cam, and they have no secrets. Or for $430, you can trust that RK Speed knows something that Cam Motion doesn't. They have a nice website, I don't know about their Facebook because I don't do that, but I wouldn't trust either of those to help me decide. Were any of the "multiple people that (say) the RK cams are spicy" from the RK Speed Facebook site?

You asked here for our suggestions, right? We are truly trying to be helpful.

It's best to ask your tuner what cams they are comfortable with tuning. The tuner (and transmission builder for converter choice) are the only people who really need to know cam specs. Beyond that they are just a talking point...

If a vendor doesn’t want to disclose the specs, I’d personally walk away from it.

Specs are helpful in determining if the cam is right for the combo or intended use.

Nothing is that secret.

There are too many vendors out there with proven cams that gladly publish the specs.

We have quite a few manufacturers that offer cams. We have our own PRO LS line that many folks on here and LS1Tech are quite happy with. We publish specs and can lay out the valve events for you as well. How about posting up the specs of your combo along with your goals. The community here might just be able to come up with a cam for you.

TFS-30602001
From summit racing, also known as "sloppy stage-1"

I have successfully made over 700hp with this cam using an LM7 on 4l80e.
Carries to 6500rpm easily using OEM valvetrain parts and PAC-1218 springs.
Very slow ramp and low lift means the valvetrain will last a long time, and has very smooth valve control at high rpm.

These days you don't really want a "blower cam" that was back when forced induction was inefficient, lots of heat generated from boost so they pull apart the valve events to help the engine keep its cylinder pressure with low boost numbers.
But all that is behind us. These days turbocharger compressor wheels are extremely efficiency and it is no longer desirable to trap high cylinder pressure using minimal overlap. Instead we gladly trash some of the intake charge out the exhaust to help clear the cylinder, and there is no downside Because the compressor flow rate can easily handle the additional mass air flow rate.

Also if you are not turbo then what are you waiting for...
